Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ShipScout.ai ("ShipScout", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Onyx Labs FZC LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://shipscout.ai/ or use our platform. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, so you do not have to re-enter them on every page or every visit.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way, including browser local storage, session storage and small tracking pixels. Where this policy says "cookies", it covers all of these.
2. Why We Use Cookies
- To keep you signed in and secure your session while you use the platform
- To remember your settings, such as language, saved filters and display preferences
- To understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve them
- To measure whether our marketing reaches the right audience
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and automated scraping of our data
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the site to work. They handle sign-in, session security, load balancing and fraud prevention. These cannot be switched off in our systems, because the platform cannot function without them.
- Performance and analytics cookies. Collect aggregated information about how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and where errors occur. We use this to fix problems and improve the product.
- Functional cookies. Remember choices you make, such as your preferred language or a dismissed notice, so the site behaves the way you left it.
- Marketing and advertising cookies. Help us measure the performance of our campaigns and show relevant advertising on third-party platforms. These are optional.
4. Cookies We Set
The main first-party identifiers we set are:
- Session and authentication tokens. Strictly necessary. They keep you signed in and expire when your session ends or when you sign out.
- Visitor identifier. A random, non-personal identifier used to recognise a returning browser and to attribute a signup to the campaign or referral it came from. It contains no name, email or payment information.
- Session identifier. A random identifier that groups the pages viewed in a single visit. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- Consent record. Stores your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page.
- Preference values. Store interface settings such as language and saved search filters.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by services we use rather than by us. These may include analytics providers, advertising platforms, our review platform, our live chat and support tools, and our payment gateway. Those providers set and read their own cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies.
https://shipscout.ai/ is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third parties different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. You should contact these entities directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.
6. How Long Cookies Last
- Session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser or sign out.
- Persistent cookies remain for a set period so we can recognise your browser on a later visit. Ours are set for up to 24 months and are refreshed when you return.
You can delete any cookie at any time through your browser settings, whatever its stated lifetime.
7. Managing Your Cookie Choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- On our site. Where a consent banner is shown, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and change that choice later.
- In your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and can warn you before a cookie is stored. Look under Settings, then Privacy.
- On advertising platforms. The major advertising platforms provide their own opt-out controls in your account settings on those platforms.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in and will prevent parts of the platform from working. Blocking optional cookies does not affect your access to the service.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites must respond to it, so we do not currently change our behaviour based on that signal. You can still control cookies using the options in Section 7.
9. Cookies and Payments
Card payments are handled by our payment gateway on its own secure pages. We do not use cookies to capture, read or store card numbers, CVV values or bank credentials.
All credit/debit cards' details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties. https://shipscout.ai/ will not pass any debit/credit card details to third parties.
10. Changes to This Policy
The Website Policies and Terms & Conditions may be changed or updated occasionally to meet the requirements and standards. Therefore, the Customers are encouraged to frequently visit these sections to be updated about the changes on the website. Modifications will be effective on the day they are posted.
